Emergency Satellite Connectivity: Does An Iphone 14+ work in the Balkans/Montenegro/Albania or will it ever?

Does anyone know when or if the emergency sattelite features will be available for people travelling through different parts of the world doing hiking expeditions? I dont want to buy a Garmin if I dont have to using my Iphone.

Does Emergency SOS via Satellite work in all 50 states in the United States? I just recently purchased an iPhone 14. I learned about the satellite feature for emergency SOS. I have a vacation to Hawaii planned in a couple months and I was wondering if this feature would work over there. I know that Apple has been laying out the infrastructure for it to work in Europe.

Satellite SOS while traveling If you are traveling out of network in a country where the Satellite SOS hasn't officially launched--I travel to West Africa frequently, for instance--can you at least activate the emergency SOS and notify Globestar/your emergency contacts with the nature of the emergency and location so they can try to organize help? Or will the service just not work if you are outside of the US/those countries where you can buy the iPhone 14 with satellite connectivity?
