Fiber cable to LAN converter

I have an AirPort Extreme Base Station Generation 4. I wanted to use it as my main router. So I decided to plug out my existing one. But the cable that gives internet is a Fiber cable. But the input in AirPort Extreme is given through LAN cable. I live in India and I want to buy a converter for it that can transfer about 1000Mbps. Is there a cheap alternative available?

Even if you can find a "converter" (whatever that might be, since most fibre systems require a device called an ONT), please remember that the AirPort Extreme was designed to work with basic cable and DSL connections.

There is no assurance at all that the AirPort Extreme will work with a direct fibre connection.....because there are no fibre settings or adjustments on an AirPort Extreme, or any of the other AirPort routers for that matter.
