It seems like you are having issues with mirroring your phone to your tv. Make sure that your tv supports screen mirroring and that you have Bluetooth connection enabled as Bluetooth is used for screen mirroring.

You can check if your tv supports screen mirroring by looking at the box that your tv came in and if it does support screen mirroring, you will see a text on the box that says that it supports screen mirroring (it depends on the manufacturer of the tv).

HDCP Issues:

It’s probably not a 4K screen. This is an issue that began with the macOS 10.13.4 release. The only way I can perform this is by a hardware connection.
