Restoring the Music App library originally from Intel i9 16" Macbook running Big Sur 11.2.3 to M2 Macbook on Ventura 13.6.6 is not fully recovered. How can I restore my previous Music library on my new M2?
Dear all,
Please help me.
Restoring the Music App library originally from Intel i9 16" Macbook running Big Sur 11.2.3 to M2 Macbook on Ventura 13.6.6 is not fully recovered. How can I restore my previous Music library on my new M2?
My original music library is stored on an external lacie drive, created on my old Intel i9 16" Macbook Pro, which has serious heating issues (even numerous trip to Apple Care couldn't fix it. There must be a huge design flaw in the 2019 Macbook making its Intel core barely used to its full potential, and always overheat unless I put on strong air conditioner while using the macbook).
That's why I shell out another 2 grand to buy the new M2 which thankfully does not have this overheating issues, but now I cannot restore my Music library fully on it. It recovers only a small fraction of my music from the ITL file on the external lacie drive...
Is there because there is changes to the Music app due to the differences in OS?
Should I try updating my Intel i9 to Ventura and retry the restoration of the Music database?
I am afraid updating to ventura would cause even more issue to my barely usable Intel i9 macbook pro.
If you have any tips or ideas, please help out.
Much appreciated!
