There is no way to bypass that. If you forgot it and are the original owner of the machine, make an appointment at the Genius Bar. You will have to supply Apple with the original proof of purchase for the device.
If you are not the original purchaser, and don’t know the firmware passcode, you are now the proud owner of a boat anchor.
