philips 55oled805/12 and AppleTv 2022 sync issues

Good morning everyone, occasionally my Apple TV (4k 2022) is not recognized by my TV (Philips  55OLED805/12) and the HDMI channel indicates no source. I have tried changing several HDMI cables without any benefit; the only way to temporarily resolve the issue is a soft reboot of the TV. Any possible solutions? Thanks!

My guess is that your normal use was 6.5 feet which may over time have degraded the HDMI port on your ATV. Anything over 1m is inviting trouble in the Apple world, so going forward, try not to push the envelope especially if you want to avoid mystery problems of this nature.


Irrespective, I would schedule in-store Apple repair and have them check it out (it’s free). Good luck!

Thank you all for the responses. I tried changing the cable (I’ve swapped out four or five), changed all the ports, and disconnected other devices. I also updated the TV to the new version of Android TV (version 11). For a few days, there were no issues, but then it started happening again. It seems to be a handshake problem because it only occurs when I turn on the Apple TV or the TV together with the Apple TV…
