Automatic language detection when dictating and typing in iMessage

Having to select the language upfront really is a pain!! Please, please Apple, give us this function. In stead of putting your efforts on visual effects and other playful possibilities, give us what is really functional. In countries like Belgium, Switzerland and many more, we speak and write in several languages at the time. In the era of AI, this cannot be sooooo difficult? Or am I really the only one that craves for this?
