Itunes music on Macbook Air sonoma 14.5

I have many songs on my Mac in my music app, but can't access anything new (in iTunes). How do I purchase new music?

How do I get access to my purchased music on my new MacBook Air? I purchased hundreds of songs on iTunes over the years. I just got a new iMac Air. Can't get iTunes to appear in Apple Music to buy a song on my Mac? Posted this before. no answers I've read both Apple pages on how to buy songs and how to get iTunes to appear and have followed those steps. my top right corner has no iTunes option. What happened to iTunes? Not an app. Can't find way to buy songs anymore.
