Can I set different notification settings for each SIM on iPhone 14?

I have installed 2 simcards in my iPhone 14. An esim, my private number and a nanosim, my worknumber. In any way, can I mute calls and messages from my worknumber during the evening and weekends without also muting my private number?

Thanks

👋 Hi elwizzy,

I have an idea!

  1. Open the Shortcuts app.
  2. From the bottom menu, select "Automation".
  3. Tap the "+" at the top of the screen.
  4. Choose "Time of Day" and set the time you want to turn off your worknumber every evening. At the bottom of the screen, make sure to select "Run immediately." Then, tap "Next" at the top of the screen.
  5. Tap "New Blank Automation".
  6. Tap "Add Action".
  7. In the search bar, type "Toggle Cellular Plan".
  8. Change the option from "On" to "Off" and select your worknumber.
  9. Tap "Next" and then "Done".

Now, repeat the same process but with the following changes:

- In step 4, choose the time in the morning when you want to turn on your worknumber.

- In step 7, leave the option as "On" (and select your worknumber, of course).

After completing these steps, your worknumber will automatically turn off at the set time every evening and turn back on at the set time every morning!

(For weekends, you can create a separate automation...)

By the way, if you want more flexibility over when your work SIM is on, you can do this:

  1. Open the Shortcuts app.
  2. From the bottom menu, select "Shortcuts".
  3. Tap the "+" at the top of the screen.
  4. Tap "Add Action".
  5. In the search bar, type "Toggle Cellular Plan".
  6. Change the option from "Turn" to "Toggle" and select your worknumber.
  7. Tap the share button at the bottom of the screen.
  8. Tap "Add to Home Screen".
  9. Choose any name, color, and icon you want.
  10. Tap "Add" at the top of the screen.

And, now, with just one tap, you can quickly turn your work SIM on or off, without repeatedly going into settings.

I hope this helps!

At best on your device you can turn “off” the work SIM and let calls roll-over to that line’s VM.

If that’s not available for your nanoSIM, you might be able to divert all calls to VM … and undivert during work hours. This is usually accomplished with your carrier’s “short codes.”

Def a somewhat clumsy method and possibly NOT supported by your carrier.
