Can I silence / switch off one number if I have a dual sim/ 2 numbers?

The article Using Dual SIM with an eSIM includes information to better understand how using multiple SIM cards or eSIMs will operate:

"When you're on a call, if the carrier for your other phone number supports Wi-Fi calling, you can answer incoming calls on your other number. When you're on a call using a line that isn't your designated line for cellular data, you need to turn on Allow Cellular Data Switching to receive calls from your other line. If you ignore the call and you have voicemail set up with your carrier, you’ll get a missed-call notification and the call will go to voicemail."

If you do not enable the Allow Cellular Data Switching and Wi-Fi calling features, the other line would have calls go to voicemail. You are also able to turn each cellular line off or on in Settings to manage which service you use at any given time. Muting your device would affect both numbers simultaneously.
