Since I updated to ios 17.5.1, Carplay has completely stopped working on my 2024 BMW X3. Have tried every solution listed on the web - no luck. I have another iphone that is not updated and it connects just fine.

Same thing with my 2021 Nissan Sentra & iPhone 13. Dashboard says Apple CarPlay is connected & my music will play however the touch screen stays black. Sometimes it works when I am parked, but it now never works when I am driving the car.

iOS 17.5.1 related. I didn’t update my phone til 3 days ago then started experiencing this. Haven’t seen anything helpful besides wait for another update to fix the bug which seems ridiculous
