Hi,
I am upgrading my storage plan from 200GB to 2TB and would like to move my wife and kids from their individual 200GB plans to my family plan to avoid paying for them separately.
How do i move them to my family plan, cancel their individual storage plans without losing any data? Do i downgrade them to FREE Plan and join Family or?

Note that they do not need to cancel. See the following from the above support article:
If a family member is already paying for their own iCloud+ plan, they can choose to switch to your plan or keep their own and still remain part of the family. When they switch to the shared family plan, they get a refund for the remainder of their personal plan. They can't keep their current plan and use the shared family plan at the same time.
