Personal voice getting started

I have tried to do a personal voice. I have a MacBook Air from 2020 with SONOMA

Wonderful to hear you have been taking steps to begin using a personal voice. Thank you kindly for providing the info on your Mac model and MacOS version. .

Seems a Mac with Apple Silicon is needed for Personal Voice:

Now we just need to know if your MacBook Air 2020 has Silicon (M1 chip) or is an Intel Mac (not Silicon)

Mac computers with Apple silicon - Apple Support

says:

MacBook Air introduced in 2022 or later, plus MacBook Air (M1, 2020)

You can check, by clicking the Apple menu > About this Mac

In the small window that opens: check whether the list shows the M1 chip. If so we're good!

(Else:

if the list shows an item labeled Processor: and gives the name of an Intel processor = not a Mac with silicon)

If your Mac is one of the late 2020 models with silicon:

Note: To create a Personal Voice on your Mac, you must have a login password set.

Apple does provide a step-by-step article (link below) for Mac :

There's also a video about creating and using Personal Voice on iPhone and iPad, that may be helpful
