why does my phone language being in spanish make apps not work?

when my phone language was in spanish (latin america) some apps would crash or just not work properly, but when I switch to english they work normally. what does phone language have to do with app performance?

It should not make any difference if the app is coded correctly. Did all Apple apps work correctly? If 3rd party apps did not, you should contact their authors.
