Question

I cannot save a new excel spreadsheet to my desktop on my macbook pro.

My Excel version is Version 16.87 (24061711). My license is current. My MacBook Pro info is:

16-inch, 2021

Chip - Apple M1 Max

Memory - 32 GB

macOS - Sonoma 14.5

Macintosh HD - 717 GB available of 995 GB

If I create a new spreasheet on my computer I cannot save it.

If I modify an existing spreadsheet I can save it to the original location I cannot SAVE AS to a new location.

I had my wife create a spreasheet on her MacBook and send it to me. I downloaded it to my desktop and I can could modify and save it back to the desktop but I could not SAVE AS to another location.

Contact Microsoft for support with their products.

Apple Support Communities might not be the worst place to find help with Microsoft products, but it's close. Try https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_excel
