Move album into folder in ios photos app

I can’t seem to drag an album and drop it into a folder

Unlike on a Mac, in iOS albums can't be moved from folder to folder. Albums are stuck in the folder in which they were created.

How to move an album into a folder! I can’t post a reply to the other thread asking this question, but I’ve found a workaround solution so posting here for others :) So in short you can’t drag and drop / move the album into the folder but what you can do is hold down the album and ‘share’. Add to album > click folder and then name the album the same > delete old album. Very quick, copies all the photos across and organised my iPhone photo library using this method

Photos: can't move Album into Folder, iOS 17.5 Photos App: seems it is no longer possible to organise existing albums into folders on iOS. Depending on where you look, some instructions say you can just drag it (which is what i've always done). Other suggest a ludicrously long process: create new folder > create NEW album > drag contents of existing album into new album > delete old album. This is really nonsensical. We obviously need to be able to drag existing albums into new or existing folders in order to organise photos. I'm sure this worked previously, anyone else found it no longer does? Am I missing something?
