Trouble when connecting 3 bluetooth devices to my mac

hi! I brought a second hand macbook pro 14" (m1 pro), and I'm having connectivity issues with my headphones when connecting my mouse and keyboard with bluetooth.

When all three are connected, my music seems to lag and glitch, I can confirm this is a system wide issue....

Sometimes it's fine until I press a key on my keyboard and then it's back glitching, so it seems as though my mac can't handle enough bluetooth data.

And if this is just how it is, that's really bad for a laptop worth about 3000$ right? it's such a good laptop with so good hardware, why is this so bad...?

I'm using:

A keychron K4 pro (bluetooth)

MX Master 3 on bluetooth (I would hate to use the dongle...)

The mac is MBP 14", m1-pro, 32gb RAM

MacOS 14.5

Thanks a lot

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.5

Dear Amitai,

I solved your very same problem with exact same configuration by following this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Keychron/comments/1as61bs/finally_fixed_bluetooth_issues_for_k_pro_series/

It turns out the Keychron keyboards have a Bluetooth problem that has been recently fixed, but you can only access it through support.

Hope this helps.

Troubleshooting M1 Mac Bluetooth:

About "Reset the Bluetooth Module":

See my User Tip: Use "Reset the Bluetooth module" to Fix Constant Bluetooth Disconnections - User Tip, Looking at my first comment on it, recommended to Apple that they bring this option back. They discontinued it on even macOS versions.

What else to do:

Try the following, in the order provided...

  • Boot in Safe Mode:

[Hold Down: shift key, upon boot], In Safe ModeLogin Items do not run at login, certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files are then reset. So, once booted in to Safe Mode, wait for 30 seconds, and then boot up normally, attempting another sync.

  • Try a New Admin User:

What happens when you create a new administrator user, and log int it? Do you still get this error? If not, then it is likely an error with the current user. If so, then it is likely an error with your macOS.

as a last resort...

  • Reinstall the macOS:

Go Here: How to Reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support

Important: First, Back Up your Mac, first. Create a Time Machine backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall. Take this as a learning experience, knowing to always create a backup of your Mac, prior to making any major changes to it (i.e. update installation)
