Are you following the devices instructions for connecting them using Bluetooth?

If any of the devices you're trying to pair are iPhones or iPads, they don't work with Macs in that way.

Macs, iPhones, and iPads use other ways (iCloud, Continuity features, etc.) to work with each other.
