“AirTag Found Moving with you” Please Help

Hi! I just recently moved into a new apartment. I keep getting alerts on my phone about an “AirTag moving with me” and “your current location can be seen by the owner of this AirTag. It’s been a couple days now and I keep receiving these alerts and I don’t know if I should be alarmed or not. I’ve never owned an air tag (I would’nt even know what one looked like if I hadn’t of looked it up) The line on the map shows the air tag going from my old apartment to my new apartment with a red dotted line. I’ve dumped out my purse and other items trying to find the air tag but I haven’t found anything and the only thing it tells me is that it’s playing the AirTag sound even tho I haven’t heard anything or found anything. Anyway, it keeps sending me alerts to my phone. What do I do? Should I be concerned? Or does it just mean a new neighbor has an air tag that’s alerting my phone?

Re: “ … Should I be concerned? …”

YES.

A neighbor’s airtag won’t cause that alert.

The alert is activated because it’s moving with you. Possibly in your car.
