APPLE NEWS Subscription charged without my knowledge

To start off I’m extremely careful with my subscriptions if I ever do a free trial(which is rare), I immediately go and cancel it. This is so I can decide if I want to buy it at the end of the free trial and I don’t get charged. That being said, I never have used Apple news. It has just been sitting on my phone up until today when I deleted the app. I deleted because I noticed a $12.99 reoccurring subscription charge from Apple news that I have never signed up for. I am super confused because as I said, I’ve never gone on the app and I don’t have any use for it. I’ve seen countless other posts around this $12.99 charge. It’s like they’re forcing us to sign up this is messed up.

There are several possibilities. First start with this link,

https://reportaproblem.apple.com/

That page shows in chronological order all Apple purchases associated with your Apple ID. That same page allows you to submit a refund request to Apple.

Second possibility, are you a Family Sharing group organizer? If so, it might be a member of the groups subscription, that as organizer, you’re paying for.

Third possibility is your payment card has been compromised and fraudulent charges are being applied to your account.
