Apple Id is not active

Hi there, I recently had to create a new apple id, and when i went to try and use my phone this morning, I kept getting a prompt to enter my apple ID password, which I did, however it keeps saying that my account is not active. I have tried to reset my password but again it says my apple id is not active, What can i do?

If you see the message below, or similar "inactive" messages:

- "Inactive" Apple ID/Account

- "Verification Failed. This Apple ID is not active."


You need to have Apple reactivate the account. Account Recovery applies to active but inaccessible accounts. Please contact official Apple Support for help with an "inactive" Apple ID. The people responding on this forum are Apple product users like yourself and cannot do anything with your account.


This link (versus one taking you to the general support page) is the most direct way to get to the people helping you with this:

1. Click here --> https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=cups&PGF=PGF63005

2. Select: Disabled Apple ID

3. Select: ”The Apple ID is not active" alert

4. Select: “Continue”

5. Select a chat or telephone call option.

I would recommend trying to Recover Your Apple ID - Apple using the Apple ID recovery website. If there is still no luck, I think this is something you should take up with Apple support.
