Mac keyboard letters typing incorrectly

It looks like you are using an AZERTY keyboard (instead of QWERTY.) Go to System Settings > Keyboard and make sure that you are using the right keyboard.

If you have multiple keyboards configured in System Settings, you may have an icon in the menu bar (to the right) that allows you to quickly swap between keyboards.

Go to system settings / keyboard / text input / edit / input sources and use the minus button at the bottom to remove French from the list. You should only have one item on it, US or ABC if you are typing English.
