How to resubcribe to an app when the option doesn't show anymore?

So, I purchased a monthly subscription to an app (Countdown App - Remainders) and missed a payment due to an oversight, which paused my subscription. I updated my payment, which I know works because Apple took their payment, and now I can't resume my subscription for the Remainders app.


I've tried everything I can think of and nothing seems to work.


  1. I cancelled the subscription thinking I could start as a brand-new customer. Didn't work.
  2. I deleted the app from both iPhone and iPad, re-downloaded, and tried restoring the purchase. Didn't work.
  3. Deleted sync history from iCloud, deleted apps, reinstalled. Didn't work.
  4. I contacted the seller who told me to go into my Apple accounts and select the subscription section, where I should see an option to select a plan (monthly or annually). The option was not there (which I think IS the major issue).
  5. Contacted Apple support via online chat. They walked me through logging out of and back into "Media & Purchases" in my Apple ID, along with everything else I already did. Didn't work.
  6. They then had a Tier 2 level support call me, who had me go through the same steps as the chat support. You guessed it....didn't work!
  7. I was then transferred to an even higher support person who did the same thing. In fact, he had me screen share my phone while he "walked me through" the steps. Nothing!


He then told me the only thing I could do was to request a refund. In doing so, it would supposedly sever the connection from my account to the seller's network in 48hrs. I then could sign up as a brand new customer. Well, that hasn't worked either.


I've attached 2 screenshots. The first is for the "Remainders" app that, for whatever reason, is not showing the options for reactivating/choosing a new subscription. The second is a random inactive subscription that does show these options.


Unfortunately, I cannot delete my purchase history. So it seems I will never be able to start my subscription again. Has this happened to anybody else? Is there a way to fix this issue???


As usual, the seller blames Apple. And Apple blames the seller. Pretty frustrating. :(
