how do i move my steps in data sources to the health app not the phone

For my vitality points I need my steps to be logged on the health part of the data. It’s currently being stored under iPhone data.

how do I change this

That doesn't make sense. The iPhone is a source (and unless you have an Apple Watch, your only source) that provides data to the Health app. The Vitality app appears correctly set up to get steps data from the Health app. The Health app is getting data from the iPhone.


If you're not seeing data synced to the Vitality app, delete it and re-install it. If that doesn't work, contact the developer.

You're in the wrong section. You're in "Show All Data". "Data Sources & Access" is below that.



Once you tap on that, you'll see a list of apps that can read the data. I think what you're being told to do is make sure that whatever the app is you want to see you steps data, is enabled. You can see in the screenshot below that HealthView, for example is enabled.



Or, the instructions you've been given are just incredibly wrong. In that case, contact whoever gave them to you and ask for help.
