I have a set of AirPods Pro (1st Gen) that uses a lighting case. With most of my devices now using USB-C, I'd like to upgrade my Airpods case to a USB-C charging case and see that Apple now sells the 2nd gen Airpods Pro USB-C case separately. Can I charge my 1st gen Airpods using the 2nd gen USB-C case?

No. The Airpods are physically a different shape so the spaces for them in the case are also different as such First Gen AirPods Pro will not fit in the spaces meant for Second Gen AirPods pro.

Thanks. I double checked my model number (A2084) it looks like they are 2nd Gen Airpods Pro but shipped with the lighting case. That being the case, they should work with a USB-case, yeah?
If they are Second Gen Airpods Pro they should work with the case yes.
