How to create iOS shortcut to open specific folder in files app

Took me a while to figure out how to create a shortcut (with icon on home screen) to open a specific folder within the files app. and I see others have struggled. Hope this is helpful

1 open the shortcuts app

2 click + for new shortcut the “add action”

3 type “File” in search bar

4 open the Files option

5 scroll down to “File Storage”

6 click on “File”

7 now click on the greyed out File option

and navigate to the folder you want to open each time. Once you see the folder icon or name, click open. You should end up back at the shortcut with a screen that looks like this

8 now within same shortcut search for a new action called “Open”

9 scroll way way down the results to documents

10 select Open Files option

you should end with something like this

youre done other than renaming the shortcut and adding it to home screen
