Perhaps this is a Faulty Device?:

This seems to be a faulty device, being it is overheating. If this were me, I would have this looked into by Apple. You have a one-year, out-of-the-box, limited-warranty. So, contact Apple Support. I would think the issue here is that the processor is being overrun due to a misconfiguration in the iOS.

So, to Get this Serviced:

You would either:

• Set up a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. There, it will be diagnosed, and you'll be provided with your options. IMPORTANT: Be certain to bring along a proof of purchase (i.e. sale receipt or original packaging) and the iPhone, itself.
