iTunes movie codes

Does the Apple TV app automatically upscale movies to 4k? I recently redeemed a hunger games code that just says digital copy, not hd nor 4k. It shows up in my library as a 4k. Does this mean it is a 4k movie and Apple automatically upscaled it for me?

When I load them up in my iTunes/TV library, they only show up as HD; but if I check the store page they'll have 4K, even Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos. Upgrade HD to 4K 2024 When I have a movie in my account that is only considered HD because of linking to Movies Anywhere, how do I upgrade to the Apple 4k version. USING DIGITAL MOVIES THRU APPLE What precisely is required for redeeming digital movie codes and watching those movies through Apple or Movies Anywhere? (Whether purchased from Apple or elsewhere). Specifically: 1. Must I create and maintain a pay-subscription with Apple? 2. Would Apple provide the video quality upgrades (e.g., HD to UHD) without paying for a subscription? 3. If a pay-subscription is required, would I lose access to my movies if I end the subscription? Any other information relevant to this situation would also be helpful. Thank You and Good Luck

it you have a 4k tv then everything you watch that fill up the whole display is upscaled by something

be it the tv itself

or be it the appletv box
