It happened just suddenly last Saturday's afternoon (June 22). I already asked our technician today to remove the battery as it might be the culprit. However, after plugging in to AC (without the battery already), the same issue of overheating prevails. I also tried to boot in Safe Mode, however, the problem still persists.
Please help urgently...

Are you saying the Trackpad is too hot to touch? Or that the Trackpad thermal sensor is being reported as bad, or is reporting a high temperature using a third party utility? Some third party utilities may not be able to properly read the temperature sensors, or perhaps the temperature sensor is bad which can result in a value that is reporting a high temp. The Apple Diagnostics should be able to tell you if any of the system temperature sensors are bad.
If the Trackpad is not working, then perhaps the Trackpad is bad, or perhaps the Trackpad IPD Flex Cable is bad, or maybe the Trackpad Cable contacts & Trackpad connector has suffered liquid damage (very common on the Airs since it is located beneath the gap at the top of the Trackpad).
Or maybe the Logic Board is bad or has suffered some accidental liquid damage. There are a lot of possibilities. Your technician obviously is not very familiar with the repairing MBAirs.
You really needed to provide more details since I've never encountered a Trackpad on any Mac that overheated (I have supported thousands of Apple laptops over 20 years for my organization).

Hai fatto bene a rimuovere la batteria; il fatto che si surriscaldi sotto il trackpad è strano, ** solito in quel punto non c'è altro se non appunto la batteria. Il trackpad dovrebbe avere comunque un chip controllore integrato e potrebbe essere che questo assorba più energia del necessario a causa ** un guasto interno. La domanda, funziona ugualmente? Thank you so much for your response. You are right, the unit suffered from an accidental water spill a few weeks ago. After that however, the trackpad continued to work, it didn't overheat. By the way, the upper portion of the trackpad is the main point of overheating. I do not know if the overheating might be caused by the water spill few weeks ago.
Just this morning, the technician gave me an update and he told me that the one in the following photo is the culprit (the encircled part):
My other concern now is, what shall I do to back-up the files currently in my MacBook, while still waiting for the replacement of such part? If I would continue to use the unit while overheating, will it explode?
