MacBook Pro won't print to HP 8130e-PAUSES EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!
Bought a new HP 8130e printer.
My iPhone will connect and print fine to it.
My MacBook Pro will see the printer, install it, see it as an option to print to, but when I try to print, it immediately pauses the printer.
I have been on apple forums and on HP forums and tried every possible solution given. Among the solutions, I have:
- uninstalled and reinstalled printer
- unplugged router and printer several times and left sitting for hours. plugged router in and plugged in and turned on printer - printer connects to wifi fine. laptop turned off and back on-reconnects to same wifi network. STILL won't print and immediately pauses the printer job in the queue when I try to print.
- I did a printer reset and all printers were wiped out. I reinstalled the new HPprinter - same outcome.
- Yes- printer and laptop are connected to same network
- Did I mention I can print fine from my iPhone? which is also connected to the same network wifi.
- I downloaded and installed the HP app to my MacBook Pro (rather than using System Settings>Printers & Scanners to install the printer) and I click directly on the app in my dock and try to print from that. It still "pauses" the print job.
- I have tried shutting down each device individually, and then at same time - same outcome
- I have made sure that all software updates are installed and I am current on those
Has anyone else read up and spent hours trying to find the problem like I have? Is there a solution? Please help! I am beyond frustrated.
