iPhone 15 pro max battery drop 99% condition after 66 charging cycles

Hello,

in December 2023, I decided to buy an iPhone 15 pro max, from the beginning it charges from 20% to 80% with the 80% limit enabled, and first of all, after 66 charging cycles, the battery condition dropped to 99%. Secondly, I recently noticed that when I charge my phone to 80%, its charge level after restarting the phone is 82 or 83%. Should I be worried about this? Should I report this somewhere?

I charge my phone with the original charger and I always connect and disconnect it on time.

I'm asking for help because I'm really sorry that it lost 1% of its capacity so quickly with the correct charging method.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Best Regards.

The battery is functioning correctly.

It is normal for Battery Health / Maximum Capacity to decline at about 1% for every 25 charge cycles. So, after 66 cycles you would expect the Max Capacity to be closer to 98%.

So far, your battery is doing better than average.

The battery will occasionally charge to 100% in order to allow the battery calibration to work correctly, so you will see the phone higher than 80% at times.

Frankly, I have better performance by setting the iPhone for Optimized Battery Charging and connecting the power adapter to the phone all night......every night. You might consider trying that, since it is impossible to overcharge the battery.

Occasionally, the battery will charge to 100%. You were probably not aware when it did.

There is nothing more that we can say.

My advice remains to set the phone to Optimized Battery Charging and leave the power adapter connected to the phone all night......every night......IF.....you want maximum life on your battery.

My phone performs better this way and slower capacity decline than using 80%-20%. I have tried it both ways. Optimized Battery Charging works better.

You can take the phone to the Apple Store to have them check and test the battery......but you will be told that everything is normal.

If you are thinking that something is wrong with your battery and other users will confirm this, you may have a very very long wait for someone to post here.
