Apple support return calls from +1 (512) 884-50*2

It appears that when attempting a phone support call with Apple via my iPhone there will be an email sent at which point you click a link and you then receive a call. My call came from telephone number +1 (512) 884-50*2 which appears to be in Austin Texas.

If you search that number you will see various comments including people saying it may also be used by

Malware Bytes etc.

I just finished a call with Apple support that I initiated and it appears this may be a Apple Support contractor doing the call back.

Because I approved screen sharing on the earlier (contractor) call I was concerned about a possible hack. The Apple Support person I spoke to today was able to view my support history from that earlier call and what took place. The information was in my history so I’m feeling relieved.

I guess I can relax about this now.

Just thought this should be covered.
