How do I sync my iPhone and iPad

1. On your iPad or iPhone, open the settings app.
2. Scroll down until you see “Mail”. Click on Mail.
3. In the Mail settings, you should see a tab that says “accounts”. Click on accounts.
4. Click on the tab that says “Add account”.
5. Depending on your email provider, you will have to pick the email provider that you use. Click on the one that you use.
6. You should be taken to the website of your email provider. Sign into your email.

After this, you should be good to go.

Connecting both to the same e-mail accounts (in Internet Accounts settings) should do that, assuming that you're using IMAP connections (where the master copies of mail live on the server).

There are other types of synchronization for which you would set up iCloud, etc.
