External disk for Time Machine
Just received Apple MacBook Air M3 1TB. What is a good external drive to use with Time Machine?
I have a WD My Passport 2TB that isn't seen by the Mac.

it could be that the drive has some of WD's preloaded software installed that supposedly makes the drive "Mac ready", so that may be why it's not working properly.
it is always best to use disk utility to erase and format a drive before use to remove any preloaded software.
