External Hard Drive for Time Machine

I want to replace the 3- and 4- year old external hard drives that I use in connection with Time Machine backups. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I have liked LaCie in the past, although my current external hard drives are a different brand. Thanks!

You can use literally any inexpensive USB hard disk drive. Speed is not a factor.

LaCie is perfectly ok. So is OWC. I have not found any marked difference in quality among any of the usual manufacturers though. They all manufacture the same cheap disposable junk, and the only difference is in the enclosures they use. Buy something inexpensive enough that you can afford to buy several. When one fails, throw it out.
