getting a credit from a vendor

I used ApplePay at a hotel in Rome. I was double charged for an item. The hotel says they have issued a credit, but nothing has appeared on my credit card statement. Is there a way to check in ApplePay received a credit that has not yet been processed...

Apple Pay is not involved in processing credits. A refund is processed by the merchant and merchants credit card processor. Once the refund is processed, funds go directly from merchants bank to credit card bank. Apple and Apple Pay is not involved.

Please contact the merchant to inquire about the refund. All refunds will have an ARN (Acquirer Reference Number). Your bank can trace the transfer once they have the ARN.
