charging a mid 2012 macbook with a 65 watt charge

can i charge my MacBook pro mid 2012 with a 65 Watt charger since its a 85 watt power need i havent charged it in around 2 to 3 months and i think the battery is completely drained but another question is if i can charge it with a 20w charger or will it ruin the battery.

Try resetting the  System Management Controller  Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Replacing the battery would be a logical next step if the battery has failed...

You can try unplugging the battery and try to boot plugged into power only— the Mac models are different, some will not boot without a function battery...
