Do you have "three finger dragging" turned off? I do, and everything is working, but turning it on as a test, I can reproduce the problem.

Are you doing three finger dragging on the trackpad? There have been multiple reports of this not working. Try turning off three finger dragging and see how it works.

Try trashing your settings. Hold Opt-Cmd as you launch the application.

Can you explain in more detail maybe with screenshots what you’re doing, what’s happening in the viewer and what you mean by trim cut, dragging a ripple edit?

Dos the application freeze with a spinning beach ball or something else?

Please post an EtreCheck report https://etrecheck.com giving the application Full Disk Access in Privacy & Security System Settings. Copy the report and use the Add Text button to paste the result into reply box. 

Thank you for that. That's great. So the application isn't freezing it doesn't look like, you just can't drag. Are you using the trackpad to drag or a mouse? Many users are reporting problems trying to drag with the trackpad.

Until this is resolved, the workaround is to just use click and drag instead of three finger drag.

There definitely is a problem with trackpad dragging and Pegasus are trackpad functionality in v8.
