cannot type passwords on the terminal

i'm using Docker software and terminal for a project. for some parts, a password is needed.

on the terminal appears 'Password:' with the symbol of a chain but I cannot write, I can only press the 'enter' button on my keyboard. when the terminal says 'incorrrect password' it was because I pressed enter...

I have no clue about solving this issue

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.5

Entering a Passord in Terminal:

When you enter a password in Terminal, it is always blank.

So, try starting the command with the foir-letters: sudo

That is short for Super User Do.
