Cannot remove credit card from apple wallet on macOS 14.5
every time I click the card the dialog box says "a verification method must be chosen".
After that, it spins forever and I am never able to click the remove card button. I have to force quit system settings every time.
This is not the only card I have in the wallet. All the others work fine.

This is a Capital one issue. There are starting to be multiple reports of this across the internet. My understanding is C1 is working on a resolution. At least that’s what is being reported.
Your instructions won't apply. This isn't the App Store or a website. I'm not looking to remove a payment method. I am looking to remove a card that won't verify. This is in the actual Wallet app in the OS. Do you have a method to get around the spinning circle?
There is no Wallet app in Mac OS. Apple never foresaw someone trying to use Tap-To-Pay (Apple Pay) in a checkout lane.
On a Mac you can use Apple Pay online, if the merchant, or merchants app, accepts Apple Pay.
Is the card you want to remove on any other devices?

If you go to settings | Wallet & Apple Pay, this where the problem is on MacOS. The card is available on other devices and works well. It's looking for a verification on the MBP and it errors out. Your instructions didn't apply. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
The verification would be sent by Capital One. If the card isn’t verified, it shouldn’t be in the Wallet settings on your Mac. Do you have other cards in Wallet settings?
Do you have Fingerprint ID and Two Factor Authentication setup on your Mac?
Actually no. I am using the wallet & Apple Pay app found in settings on my Mac (Sonoma, 14.5).
Please follow the instructions I have included in the post above to remove a payment method.
I have many other cards verified in the Wallet App. The Cap One card seems to be the only one having this issue. MFA and TouchID are setup.
