2nd GEN Apple Pencil warped, was not given option for Apple Care when bought at the same time as iPad Pro.

So I noticed my apple pencil was not sitting flush to my ipad charge on top. It wasn't sitting normal in my hand. It was warped. At the time of the purchase in January 2020, I ordered an ipad pro at the same time. I bought the apple care, but was never offered for the pencil. Now it's warped and I don't know what to do. Is it covered along with the purchase of the iPad Pro? Or is it a seperate apple care purchase? I really don't want to buy another one for a manufacturers defect.

The reason you weren't offered an AppleCare+ plan with the Apple Pencil is because Apple doesn't provide it with certain devices. They did include a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects, but if you got this Pencil in 2020, it's well past that timeframe to claim a warranty replacement.

Even if it was within that time period, an Apple Technician would need to examine it to determine if the warping is due to a manufacturing defect and not user misuse ... so, unfortunately, if you need a replacement pencil, you will need to purchase one at your cost.
