Gifting apps from App Store

Is there currently a means of gifting apps from the App Store with iOS 17.x?

You can only gift paid apps. On the app's App Store page, tap the action icon and then choose to gift the app.

Nope. Can’t do it. Can click on Share icon.

Then … NO “Gift” icon available.
