iphone 15 pro battery

I’ve had my iPhone 15 pro for about 8 months and the battery capacity is already at 90%. I had my Iphone 13 pro for 2 years before this phone and my battery capacity was at 92%. I haven’t even had this phone for a year and the battery has already gone down so much…and all my settings are the same as they’ve always been. and my screen time is pretty average so does it mean i have a faulty battery? I do not think the battery capacity should be this low especially when my Iphone before this that I had longer and used a lot more didn’t drain this quickly.

lithum-ion batteries degrade naturally over time, it could be because it was too hot or cold at a certain point or if you use it or it heats up too much during charging but if you suspect that the battery is really faulty you can replace it at a apple certified repair store. If you have apple care+ your battery hits less than 80% health, you can get a replacement free of charge. Hope this helps. Edit: it could also be because you updated to iOS 18 developer beta, there may be certain bugs that drain your battery more but if all the degrading happened before you updated, we can rule this out
