I can’t edit the text on iMovie on my MacBook

I can’t edit the text in iMovie when I select the wanted text and I try to double click on it to edit the text disappears and I can’t see what I am typing

Hi,


Try deleting preferences. To delete preferences, open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new empty library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Possibly you may need to reboot to set the changes.  Now see if you can edit titles. Deleting preferences is a safe procedure that will not cause data loss or disruption to your project.


If deleting preferences doesn't solve it, try creating a new project and see if the text editing works there.
