Unable to sign in into Apple ID despite repeated attempts

I have tried to sign in into Apple ID on my MacBook Air however each time after entering the Apple ID and Password nothing happens. I see the loading animation next to Apple ID and again get the same window to provide Apple ID. I am using the correct ID and password as I was successfully able to log into icloud and Apple account through portal.

I am encountering the same behavior in AppStore.

I have tried logging in through safe mode and faced the same issue there.

My OS details:

macOS Monterey

Version 12.7.5 (21H1222)

MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017)

Processor 2.2 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.7

Have you run Disk Utility's Disk First Aid on all connected drives?

In Disk Utility>View, select Show all Devices, highlight the top left entry.

Run Disk First Aid on all items in the left panel, from top down.

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?

If need be, To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?
