problems downloading software for new printer Macbook Air

bought a new printer - downloaded recommended setup files online. But Apple will only install setup software obtained from the App store. How to change the security settings? SO frustrating.

Perhaps there's an AirPrint method to use whatever make/brand

printer you chose; that might work OK. ~ And other near models

of drivers from the printer maker's site (by numbers) may still do.


Update your printer software if your printer has a printing problem on Mac - Apple Support


The macOS 12.7 could be Monterrey. AirPrint

was built into Macs for more than ten years.
