Macbook Air M3 turns on when I open lid, or press any key

I bought Macbook Air M3, and when I turn it off it turns on automatically when I open the lid, or press any key. Can I stop this??

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.14

While some find this behavior annoying, the vast majority want this feature. It has been this way since the M1 MacBooks first came out so don't expect any solution anytime soon as this is apparently a hardware function and no change to macOS or firmware can change this behavior.

Just to clarify: I did check previous discussions, I am aware there was no solution up to 10 months ago, but I do hope that there is one by now: surely not being able to keep your computer off when security in airport require you to open the lid, having the computer restart when you touch the track pad just after turning it off etc., is annoying enough to allow opting out?
