When trying to record onto my external USB-C SanDisk flash drive (with fast enough specs) on Final Cut Camera for iPhone 15 Pro Max, it starts and get stuck at 00:00:00. Going to my normal camera, I can record film which goes directly to the external drive just fine. Which I can see in the Files app.

I believe drives need to be SSD, not flash drive, in order to work. From the user guide: "With Final Cut Camera and supported iPhone models, you can record video directly to an external solid-state drive (SSD)."

How is the drive formatted? It should be APFS.
It didn’t work in an SSD as I expected.
