Monterey Compatible Printer

Is there an old or new printer that will work well with macOS Monterey version 12.7.5 in a 2015 MacBook Pro?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.7

More or less all printers listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support should be OK. AirPrint is typically used with a network. Some AirPrint models support printing via USB.

Otherwise, additional drivers are normally required for a USB-connected printer.

Do you have a special old or new printer in mind? If so, please post back with the exact model.

I've been using the 2015 MacBook Pro with a Canon MX922 printer with a USB connection and driver that I downloaded from Canon. I'm getting double overlapping characters in text, two of each letter overlapping each other, making them almost illegible. I got the same result with an Epson XP-820 printer and driver and USB, so it's not the printer's problem. Most of the Canon's options were not accessible with the MacBook Pro. The Canon is listed as an AirPrint printer so I'll have to try that next.

Thanks.
