The private relay does not work.

"Some settings are preventing the relay from working"

I deleted all VPN applications, but I can't find the reason.

Perhaps, as Apple writes, the kernel has been changed, but I don’t know how to check this.

Can Apple test my system remotely to determine the cause of the relay failure?

iCloud Private Relay is not a VPN. It only works in Safari and certain apps.


I have never used Private relay... or a VPN.



For what Apple can do and not do for you you in your region:


Call Customer Support (800) MY–APPLE (800–692–7753)


Outside the USA—Contact Apple for support and service by phone

See a list of Apple phone numbers around the world.

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support



You can try making some changes—


issues with “Private Relay Unavailable” it could also be your network settings ...

... 'limit IP tracking in mail and safari' will kill private relay if turned off. Turn it on, then reboot.
